Before proceeding to power on the Machine or install the drivers make sure to check the following:
The 32-bit version of the driver comes as a self-extracting installer. If you use a 64-bit version of Windows, download the 64-bit zip file and use these drivers when Windows asks for them after the Machine is powered on:
Once the installation has finished, power on the cutter. If you have ran the self executable then windows should detect the device and use the driver you installed.
When windows loads the driver it will create a COM device for the Machine. Open windows Device Manager and take note of the USB Serial Device COM number (COM3, for example).
You will need to know this COM number for the next step:
Mac OS (X) requires the use of an FTDI-adaptor for the Machines to function correctly via USB. If you have an FTDI adaptor, please follow the FTDI driver installation Guide to get it set up.
GNU/Linux & UNIX require the use of an FTDI-adaptor for the Machines to function correctly via USB. If you have an FTDI adaptor, please follow the FTDI driver installation Guide to get it set up.
